Why Brendan Deiz Grants and Consulting?

I am a musician, educator, and grant writer with years of experience in each of those fields. I hold a Master's in Teaching, and taught professionally for over a decade, so the courses I design and lead are brought to you by not only a professional grant writer, but also an experienced, credentialed educator. I began transitioning from teaching to grant writing just before the pandemic, and have since worked as a full time grant writer, as well as freelancer, for multiple Oregon-based nonprofits, whom I have helped raise a combined total of hundreds of thousands of dollars for children's education and literacy, as well as a stint with an architecture firm, where I worked on multimillion dollar federal grants. I have also served as a reviewer on multiple grant panels, reading and grading hundreds of applications, helping decide which projects would receive funding, gaining a better understanding of just what funders are looking for. A musician of over two decades myself, I have raised $25,000 in grant money for my own music projects since 2021, and want to help other artists and musicians (as well as nonprofits) find funding for their endeavors.
